Greenville, NC -- Two men have been charged in the August death of a Greenville pastor.
Tyrell Deltwon Artis, 20, and Shamel Ravon Brown, 22, were arrested and charged with first-degree murder and first-degree burglary, police said.
Artis and Brown are accused of shooting 60-year-old James Alan Carr on Aug. 20 while trying to rob his home. Carr died at a hospital.
Carr was the pastor of outreach for Covenant Methodist Church and had been on staff for two years. He also worked part time at Pitt Community College in the continuing education department, as well.
Artis and Brown are set to appear in court Monday.
