Winston-Salem, NC -- If your house isn't big enough for you, why not just build a bigger one and add enough to have a village?
Lots of people bake and build gingerbread houses. But the house, really the village, made by Dewey's bakery takes the cake (or should I say cookie)!
You can see the village on display at Dewey's Bakery in the Thru-Way Shopping Center in Winston-Salem through Monday, December 10th.
The village includes a bakery, a school, a church, a stream, sledders, skiers, tubers and more! The attached slide show will also give you a behind the scenes look at the confection.
The gingerbread village isn't just for show. The hope is that someone will want to take it home and through a silent auction Dewey's can raise money for sick kids at Brenner Children's Hospital.
You can put in your bid on Dewey's facebook page.
