High Point, NC -- High Point University students from New York and New Jersey raised $22,000 for Sandy relief.
They presented a check for that $22,000 to American Red Cross representatives at halftime of the High Point University basketball game.
Students raised the money in a number of ways, through blood drives, a dodge ball tournament, a dining out for a cause event, and a 'Pie One Who Cares' event. The Student Government Association made a $6,000 donation, which the university matched.
