Arcadia, NC -- The Davidson County Sheriff's Office is investigating the deaths of a husband and wife found in their Arcadia home Tuesday afternoon, according to the Lexington Dispatch.
Sheriff David Grice said deputies responded to the home on Sunset Road around 1:45 p.m. after a relative found the two dead inside.
Grice said at least one of the deaths is being investigated as a homicide. The names of the victims have not been released.
The relative told investigators he went to check on the couple after their child's daycare called wondering why the 3-year-old hadn't shown up to daycare Tuesday.
The bodies have been sent to the N.C. Medical Examiner in Chapel Hill for autopsy; the sheriff expects to see results in a few days.
Grice would not say whether this was a murder-suicide, but he assured the community that no one is in danger.
