Burlington, NC - The front door of Lane Jewelry on S. Church St. was broken after an attempted robbery Wednesday afternoon before 3 o'clock.
Employees told police a man grabbed several pieces of jewelry and tried to run out the door. Police said one of the employees used a locking system on the door to keep him from leaving, however, the man was able to escape.
Witnesses said he got into a blue Honda Pilot and drove away on S. Church St. towards Edgewood Ave. No injuries were reported.
