Greensboro, NC -- A family grew overnight from two to five.

Today WFMY News 2's Tony Smith spent time with the parents.

"I watched the Cosby's growing up and he had four girls and one boy. So, call me Huxtable," said Kit Ferguson, father of triplets.

"Not looking forward to the amount of sleep. I will be getting," said Hilton. They already have two children, a boy and girl at home.

Kit and Hilton welcomed into the world, Kendall, Payton and Nia on Tuesday, February 12, 2013.

The babies were delievered at Women's Hospital via C-Section in Greensboro. The three babies all weighed in at about 4 ½ lbs each.

The couple said the pregnancy with triplets was without any help from doctors or special procedures. The couple said the trio was conceived when they celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary.

"We weren't really planning of trying for one more. But God decided to bless us with three," Kit, mother of triplets.

"These are my ladies," said Hilton, father of triplets. "Seeing them now, has made it all worth it," said Kit, mother of triplets.

Women's Hospital offers several services for expecting mothers and new mothers. If you are a multiple mother or are a expected mother, download the helpful resources from this page.

Hospital officials believe that the rarity of triplets, happens on odd years. In 2011, 3 multiple babies were born. A year later, no babies were born. So far, in 2013 there's 1 multiple birth and another mother is expected to deliver those babies in the next few weeks.
