Greensboro, NC-- Sometimes it's the stuff you find off the court that makes the ACC Tournament even more special.
Albert Freeman is a Carolina fan from Burlington. He had hip surgery on Tuesday. When WFMY News 2 Liz Crawford found him he was taking it easy in the back bedroom of his RV.
"Ain't nothing keep me away. When you bleed Carolina blue, you got to go all the way with them," explained Freedman.
His routine is to go to every game with rest in between. He has the golf cart pick him up and a wheelchair waiting for him to get in the coliseum.
News 2 found other people who actually plan surgeries around the tournament.
Donna Brown is an Atlanta native and Georgia Tech fan. She plans her doctor's appointments and surgeries around the month of March aka tourney time.
Donna and her crew didn't let the Georgia Tech loss damper their spirits. Believe it or not, Donna and the diehards have been going to the ACC Tournament for 20 years.
Their favorite spot is Greensboro. In fact, Larry Wylie wishes Greensboro was the host city every year.
"Greensboro...everything is right here in one place. Atlanta is a big city. Washington, you're not going to park many RV's in downtown Washington, DC. Charlotte was fine but not as good as Greensboro," said Wylie.
