Rockingham County, NC -- One person is dead after a two-vehicle wreck in Rockingham County, according to North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
The accident happened on NC 150 at Candy Creek Road shortly before 6:30 am Monday. Highway Patrol said a 2004 Pontiac travelling east crossed the center line and hit a 2002 Ford Ranger head-on. Both vehicles came to a stop in the road.
The driver of the Pontiac, Bryan Baken, Jr. - a 30-year-old from Gibsonville, died resulting from injuries of the collision. The driver of the Ford Ranger is a 26-year-old from Ruffin who was taken to Moses Cone Hospital for a broken jaw and minor concussion.
