Colfax, NC - A case of whooping cough has been confirmed at a Guilford County School.
The Guilford County Department of Public Health says a student at Colfax Elementary school has pertussis.
The school immediately sent out a notification to parents about the case yesterday afternoon.The principal told WFMY News 2 that this is an isolated case.
The health department says this is the first case of whooping cough in Guilford County this year.
