Winston-Salem, NC - A Winston-Salem man wanted on sexual abuse charges in a Triad case was arrested in Atlanta, GA.
Reports that Eduardo Olea Herrera abused a child were initially filed January 3, according to police. Officers learned that the alleged abuse against the child happened repeatedly for several years.
Police said Herrera left his Winston Salem home abruptly Thursday morning. They issued warrants for five counts of Statutory Rape and five counts of Felony Child Abuse for his arrest.
Both ICE and Atlanta police found him Thursday evening; they said he was on a bus to Mexico.
Winston-Salem police said that Herrera is currently in the DeKalb County Jail, but they are working with authorities to extradite him to Forsyth County.
No other victims were reported at this time.
