GREENSBORO - The Fun Fourth Festival is the place to be in downtown Greensboro, but you can expect traffic detours due to Independence Day celebrations.
To make traffic more friendly to pedestrians, traffic on Elm Street will be restricted to one-lane of northbound traffic between Lee Street and Lindsay Street on July 4th, 5th and 6th from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. each day.
The following streets will be closed from 6 p.m. Wednesday to midnight on Thursday.
-Friendly Avenue from Church Street to Greene Street
-Lindsay Street and Summit Avenue will be close from Church Street to Elm Street
-North Elm From Market Street to Lindsay Street
-North Davis from Market to Summit Avenue
The following streets will be close Thursday from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. for the Fun Fourth Parade.
-Greene Street from Bellemeade Street to Smith Street
-Battleground Avenue from Lindsay Street to Greene Street
-Paisley Street from Smith Street to Greene Street
The following roads will be closed Thursday, July 4th from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
-Market Street from Eugene Street to Church Street
-Church Street from Sycamore Street to Summit Avenue.
