Greensboro, N.C. -- The death of the 19 Arizona Hotshots is bringing special attention to local first responders.
A Greensboro-Guilford County Recognition Program begins in September. Every three months, a deserving first responder will be honored. That first responder will be given an original Peaceful Warrior sculpture for their valor and courageousness.
These sculptures are inspired by Japanese Warrior sculptures conveying strength and gentleness.
Nomination forms are available at police stations, fire departments and emergency service departments in Greensboro and Guilford County.
