MANTEO, N.C. -- A charter boat hit into Bonner Bridge along the Outer Banks, according to a report from WNCT.
The U.S. Coast Guard told WNCT the boat hit the north side of the bridge around 5:45 a.m. and began to take on water. They said a good Samaritan helped tow the boat to shore.
A coast guard spokesperson said nine people were on board - three had minor injuries.
The N.C. Department of Transportation said the boat was damaged significantly, but the bridge was not, according to WNCT.
