Forsyth County-- A man was discovered shot to death inside of his Germanton home Wednesday night, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

The victim has been identified as 48-year-old Dwight Alan Sluder.

Sheriff Bill Schatzman says friends of Sluder discovered his body at about 7:45 pm Wednesday and called 911. The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office responded with Forsyth County EMS to the home on Baux Mountain Road.

Emergency workers determined that Sluder died at his home. Preliminary autopsy results and evidence collected determined he died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head. The death has been ruled a homicide.

A spokesperson for the sheriff's office confirmed for WFMY News 2 that Sluder was a member and President of Hell's Angels in Forsyth County.

"He was a good neighbor," said Gilda Mendenhall, who lived next door to Sluder for 12 years. "If he was needed, he would help you."

Deputies are following up on leads. Anyone with information on this investigation is requested to contact the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office at (336) 727-2112 or Crimestoppers at (336) 727-2800.
