
Greensboro, NC -- Greensboro Police now say intoxication was a factor in Monday's fatal hit-and-run crash. Police arrested two people yesterday in connection with the crash. Investigators said Casheem Richardson and Antoine Butler were in the BMW that crashed after an Acura wrecked early in the morning on Highway 29.
Cherita Jones, a passenger in the Acura died from injuries suffered in the crash. Police believe a dark Tahoe picked up the Acura's driver and the passengers in the BMW.
Jones' mother just wants answers in her daughters death. She told WFMY News 2, she hopes the other people involved in the crash will turn themselves in to police.
Police charged the Acura's driver, Shaquetta Johnson with manslaughter and hit-and-run. Also charged Shelton Phelps, a passenger in the Tahoe with felony aiding and abetting.
