Winston-Salem, NC -- A High Point two-year-old boy who was hit by a car Saturday during his birthday party is out of the hospital.

Andre Wright, Junior spent two days at Brenner Children's Hospital with a skull fracture.

The two-year-old went from "birthday boy" to "get-well-soon" in an instant Saturday night.

But doctors released him to go home Monday - - birthday and get well balloons in hand.

His mother says she does not hold a grudge against the driver.

"I can't put all the blame on him because Andre ran into the road himself, and it was dark at night," Sieddha Breeden explained.

High Point Police, however, have charged the driver with careless and reckless driving and assault with a deadly weapon.
