Triad-- You have a chance to be a hero to a local high school student while honoring a hometown hero.
Sandy Bradshaw was a flight attendant on United Airlines Flight 93 when the plane crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania on September 11th, 2001.
Her niece, Beth Coble, is organizing this year's golf tournament in her honor. The Sandy Bradshaw Memorial Golf Tournament takes place at 12:30 pm Friday, October 30th at Bryan Park.
They're still looking for golfers and sponsors. If you're interested in participating, call 685-9502.
Proceeds go to the Sandy Waugh Bradshaw Wings Award Scholarship. It will be presented to a Providence Grove High School Senior.
