Graham, NC -- A Yadkin County man has been charged in Alamance County for soliciting a child over the internet.
Deputies charged 32-year-old William Shane Vanhoy with soliciting a child by computer to commit an unlawful sex act. Vanhoy is a volunteer assistant soccer coach at Forbush Middle School in Yadkin County.
Police say their investigation began in March as part of an on-going computer crimes initiative. They say the alleged solicitation took place in August.
Yadkin County authorities arrested Vanhoy at his home in Hamptonville. He was transported to the Alamance County jail and is being held on a $5,000 secured bond.
