Alamance County, NC -- It's been five days since 87-year-old Hugh Clark went missing.

Clark was last seen on Friday and his family is getting desperate. They say he's in the early stages of dementia.

There was additional help with the search process on Wednesday. Mike Craig, the president of Public Safety Dogs, Inc., and his crew searched a 20 mile radius around Clark's Haw River home. Craig's company uses dogs to search for missing people throughout North Carolina and into Virginia.

"My main priority is trying to get him home to the people who love him," said Craig.

"It's been really hard, the not knowing, the waiting," said Cindy Grissom, Clark's daughter. She gathered with her relatives at her parents' home Wednesday.

Clark's family is thankful for the additional help offered by Craig. "It's like angels descended on us," said Grissom. "We needed a resource like this we could turn to. It's like a miracle."

Clark was last seen near the Maxway on Church Street in Burlington on Friday afternoon. He was driving a champagne 1997 Lincoln Town Car with license plate VNP-1497.

"He's a determined man. If he can hang on, he's hanging on. If he could get here, he'd be here," said Grissom.

Family members and search crews don't plan to stop until they know what happened to Clark.

Grissom said, "We just love him, we miss him, we want him home."

When Clark went missing, he was wearing a gray and blue flannel shirt, blue pants, and brown shoes.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, call 911.
