Greensboro, NC -- Greensboro mayor Yvonne Johnson has lost to Bill Knight.

The unofficial final vote count is Knight 17,580 to 16,616.

Mayor Johnson conceded the race to Knight around 9:30 Tuesday night. "You can't win 'em all," she said of her defeat.

Johnson told WFMY News 2 she hopes Knight will take good care of Greensboro. Knight responded that he would.

He says the first thing he plans to do in office is "lead." The retired CPA has never held public office before and says he wanted to run for mayor to bring change to Greensboro.

In the Greensboro At-Large City Council Race, incumbent Sandra Anderson-Groat lost her bid for re-election.  The three at-large winners include Nancy Barakat Vaughn, Robbie Perkins, and Danny Thompson.

Dianne Bellamy-Small, Jim Kee, Zach Matheny, Mary Rakestraw and Trudy Wade all won district races.

The Natural Science Center improvement bond passed 61% to 39%.

Stokesdale residents passed a liquor by the drink referendum.
