Newly Elected Danny Thompson On The GMS

Greensboro, NC--  Danny Thompson is one of Greensboro's newest At-Large City Council members.

In the 80's he served as a Deputy Campaign Manager for Senator Broyhill.

Most recently he's been a Guilford County Precinct Manager.

During a live interview this morning on the Good Morning Show Thompson said his first order of business was to sit down and go through the budget line by line to pinpoint wasteful government spending.

He zeroed in the expense of trucking Greensboro garbage down to Montgomery County. He is in favor of looking at putting an incinertor in the city. Also, he believes the county and the city are duplicating services, costing both extra cash.

Thompson touched on jobs and the economy.
