High Point Firefighters In Mourning After Losing A Veteran

High Point, NC-- Deputy Chief Chad Eric Greene, age 34, of Union Cross Fire Rescue, died on Wednesday, November 4 after responding to a car crash and completing a shift with Union Cross Fire Rescue.

Greene was found unresponsive at home around noon. After resuscitation efforts failed, he was pronounced at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital at 12:30. Chad was a Deputy Chief and worked part-time with the Union Cross Fire station.

Green was a 13 year veteran of the High Point Fire Department serving as a fire equipment operator. All High Point Fire Departments are flying flags at half-staff.

Deputy Chief Green is survived by his with Kimberly, daughter Emma Kaytlin and son Jacob Austin.

Visitations are scheduled for Saturday, November 7, from 6pm-9pm.

Green's funeral is scheduled for 2pm Sunday at Green Street Baptist Church in High Point.
