Native American Culture Celebrated In Downtown Greensboro

Greensboro, NC -- Saturday marked a special celebration of Native American Heritage in North Carolina.

 

 

 

The 16th Native American Cultural Festival attracted many visitors in downtown Greensboro Saturday.

 

The even represents a celebration of the eight tribes around the state. It included drumming and tribal dances.

Those taking part in the festival say it's important to teach Native American history.

 

 

More than 100,000 Native Americans live in North Carolina.

The celebration of Native American Heritage continues all month long. A state celebration will be held in Raleigh on November 21.
