
Burlington, NC -- A Burlington family is ahead of the game now that they've put up the most of their Christmas lights but the reason the lights are coming on early this year continues to depends on you.
Dean and Debbie Gerner are already in the Christmas spirit as they think about giving back to others. Their busy even before the Thanksgiving holiday completing this year's light display.
The couple plans to hang about 150,000 light by Saturday, November 28th. That's when they'll hold a nightly Drive Thru for spectators as they collect donations for the Hospice of Alamance County.
This year they've added to the show creating a spectacular display for visitors who drive by and donate money. 100% of the donations collected goes to Hospice.
The Gerner's want to thank everyone for the community support and for helping them to raise a total of $16,000 over the last two years for Hospice.
They hope they'll get an even bigger turnout this season in an effort to raise even more money.
The Light Display Drive Thru will run nightly from November 28 - January 1 from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. The Gerner's home is located 7147 Shoe Road in Burlington. They'll also collect donations nightly.
