Teen Found With Prescription Drugs At School

Lexington, NC -- A 17-year-old boy was found with prescription drugs at school.

Adminstrators at Ledford High School were told Monday morning that a student at the Extended Day School had a controlled substance on school grounds.

A School Resource Officer met with administration and the student in question was called to the office. He was searched and found to have 30 pills of clonazepam in his possession. Clonazepam is an anit-anxiety medication sometimes used to treat seizures.

The student has been identified as Mageed Kafi Adlan. He is charged with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule IV and two counts of misdemeanor failure to appear. He is in Davidson County Detention Center under a $12,350.00 bond.
