
Greensboro, NC-- A local group home is looking for some heroes to bring holiday cheer to some special people in Greensboro, Golden Living-Starmont is home to 126 disabled and handicapped individuals.
With Christmas quickly approaching and the caregivers are appealing to you and your company to help us in any way to make this year a memorable one for the residents.
Anyone intersted in helping and learning more about the home are invited to a Christmas Dinner. The dinner is on December 5 from 6:00pm-10:00pm. The location is at 1107 Perry Street. The event is being sponsored by K- Marie Kare Production, LLC.
They told WFMY News 2 that, "helping others is a great way for a company to come together as a team and spread holiday cheer to those less fortunate in the community".
Wish List for people at Golden Living:
- Large Print Books, including Fiction, Christmas Fiction, Mystery, Comedy and Romance
- Large Print Crossword and Word Search Books
- DVD's, including old classic movies, newer appropriate releases and television shows.
- Washable throw blankets
- Individual packs of crackers, cheese puffs, popcorn and chips ( no pretzels please)
- Nail Polish ( they like the fun shapes like purple and blue too!) and manicure items
- Head Scarves, shoulder wraps and turbans
- Large sized men's socks and sock slippers with rubber grippers
- Cards for games such as Gin Rummy, Solitaire or Uno
- The Residents always enjoy handwritten personal notes with statements of caring and encouragement
- Toothbrushes, paste, hand wipes, hair accessories, unscented baby wipes

Hair nets, Shower caps, Body Wash, Shampoo & Conditioner, & Nail Sets
It would be best not to gift items such as soap, body lotions or deodorants as some Residents may have a sensitivity to the perfumes and ingredients. Also we can not accept any aerosol can products or room deodorizers. The Residents enjoy stuffed animals as well as long as they are not too large.
