
High Point, NC -- Police have arrested 19-year-old Corderrel McCoy in connection with a double shooting on Fern Avenue in High Point. He has been charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury and Attempted Murder.
McCoy is accused of shooting two men in the Carson Stout neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon. 20-year-old Christopher Gibbs was shot three times and is stable following surgery at High Point Regional Hospital. 40-year-old James Gibbs was grazed by a bullet. He was treated at the hospital for minor injured and released.
McCoy was arrested without incident at his home. He is being held at the Guilford County jail in High Point under a $300,000 bond.
