Asheboro, NC - Many of you are trying to find a way to survive the economy and unfortunately for some of you that means skipping out on doctors appointments or missing important check ups. Today, a local dentists office is offering free care for anyone who needs it. The dentists at Asheboro Dental Care are providing free screenings, cleanings, extractions, x-rays and more from 8:00am until the first 200 people are helped. For any one of the of the one hundred people in line early Friday morning, it's care they ordinarily could not afford. Mother Kat Ore told WFMY News 2's Tracey McCain her teeth hurt so badly, she wanted the dentists to take them all out. "I'm unemployed, I'm uninsured, I don't know how else I would be able to get my teeth fixed if I didn't come here," she said. Asheboro Dental Care is located on North Cox Street in Asheboro. No appointment is necessary. You have to be 18 or older to get the free care. Doctors will treat the first 200 people through the end of the day.
