Winston-Salem, NC - The name may be a little deceiving, but there's a good chance the Cook Medical company made someone you know feel better.

Since 1963, Cook companies have been among the leaders in developing healthcare devices.  In 1983 Cook Endoscopy called Winston - Salem home.  The Bethania Station Road plant designs, develops and manufactures devices used in gastrointestinal endoscopy.

While Cook employs 9,000 globally, the triad is home to over 500 employees.

According to General Manager Tamisha Clark there are a number of reasons the Bloomington, Indiana based company chose Winston - Salem for the Endoscopy division.  "First of all it's a wonderful community and the people at Cook Medical saw that, whenever they initially came to Winston - Salem there was a plethora of employee based people available to us here.  Experienced people in the textile industries and some of the other industries so we took advantage of that".
