Greensboro, NC --Congress plans to pay for part of the Healthcare Reform Plan through taxing people who use tanning beds.
Under the plan, the government will impose a 10% tax for indoor tanning services.
Wanda Blackwelder owns the Tan Maker in Greensboro.
She was against the tax.
Blackwelder says the economy already slowed her business.
Now, she's expecting a 10% tax to keep away more customers.
"At least part of it will have to be passed on to the customer. I can't afford to take all of it. I cannot absorb all of it," she explained.
The indoor tanning tax goes into effect July 1.
