King, NC -- To recognize North Carolina companies that offer outstanding family-friendly options, Piedmont Parent magazine and sister publications, Charlotte Parent and Carolina Parent, are pleased to announce their 12th annual N.C. Family-Friendly 50 in the September magazines.
Carolina Parenting's N.C. Family-Friendly 50 recognizes businesses that excel at helping employees balance the demands of work and family life. Company's start by being nominated then are contacted for additional information about benefits and work environment.
The Family-Friendly 50 Companies of 2010 were selected in partnership with UNC Kenan-Flagler School of Business.
Piedmont Parent will also recognize the N.C. Family-Friendly 50 at its First Annual Moms@Work Luncheon to be held Tuesday, September 14 at the Sheraton Greensboro Hotel at Four Seasons from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. More than 300 working moms are expected to attend the event, which features Sharon Decker as the keynote speaker.
Decker is a highly successful mother of four and founder of The Tapestry Group, a faith-based organization that allows Decker to coach women how to understand life's challenges and opportunities, discover inherent gifts and talents, and determine core values. Decker is the author of "Reflections of a Satisfied Life" and one of the regular personalities for the popular radio program The Satisfied Life, which focuses on parenting, health, relationships and faith.
