Babylon, NY -- Police expect to resume their search of a remote New York beach after the remains of four people were found.
Investigators were expected to return to Long Island's Oak Beach later Tuesday.
Suffolk County police say three badly decomposed bodies were found Monday. That followed the discovery of skeletal remains on Saturday.
Authorities found the remains as they investigated a missing-person report. They were looking for 24-year-old Shonnan Gilbert of Jersey City, N.J.
Detective Lt. Gerard Pelkofsky told Newsday that Gilbert was last seen on May 1. He says Gilbert worked as a prostitute and arranged through Craigslist to meet a client on Fire Island, which is about a mile from Oak Beach.
