Winston-Salem Groper Attacks Another Woman In Ardmore

Winston-Salem, NC-- Police in Winston-Salem said an elusive man who is attacking women in a sexual manner is back. All reported cases so far have been in the Ardmore part of town.

The latest incident happened Saturday, around 5:52pm when a woman walking her dog. The woman told officers while she was walking her dog, in the 2200 Block of Westover Drive, a man came up behind her and tried to grab her genital area with both hands. The victim said the man was unsuccessful and ran off heading south on Melrose Street.

The woman described the suspect as a white male with blonde hair approximately 6 foot in height. None of the other 8 victims have been able to get a clear description of the man because he approaches them from behind, according to Police.

Detectives said this is the 9th incident in the Ardmore area since June of 2011 and the first since August of 2011. In all nine cases the suspect's description is similar.

Additional suspect information victims have given police: the suspect has a slender body, he was wearing a white pull-over hoodie and carrying a bag that hung across his chest (similar to a messenger bag or small brief case). His weight was estimaetd at 160-175 pounds.

The Winston-Salem Police Department would like to remind all citizens engaging in outside activities such as jogging and walking to be mindful of their surroundings and to report any suspicious activity.
