Yanceyville, NC-- A call to 911 on Monday ended in the arrest of a couple for child abuse, according to the sheriff's department.

Caswell County Sheriff's deputiees said they responded to a house on Rudd Ridge Rd. after 911 call on a domestic disturbance in progress. The caller said the altercation was between a husband and his wife inside the house.

Deputies said they found 26 year-old Krystal G. McCusker and two minor children inside when they arrived. According to officers, Krystal McCusker stated she had been assaulted by her husband Christopher McCusker, 31.

Officers had warrants secured on Christopher McCusker for Assault on a Female and Assault by Pointing a Gun. 

Detectives said after doing further investigation into the situation, they charged both parents Christopher McCusker and Krystal McCusker with one count each of Misdemeanor Child Abuse and one count each of Felony Child Abuse.

Both were placed in the Caswell County Detention Facility. 

Detectives said they also called in the Department of Social Service to assist in the Investigation.
