Pitt County, NC-- Around 9:00pm Monday, an Amber Alert issued earlier was cancelled by authorities for an infant in Pitt County.

The Pitt County Sheriff's office were searching for Kayden Chavis who they said had taken a 6-day-old baby from relatives house.

The updated information released by the sheriff's office stated that the child has been found safe.

No other details were released about the alleged abduction.
