Montgomery County, NC-- Repairing a water main break from Friday has lead to another break and some consumers with dry faucets.
Matthew Woodard, Montgomery Co.'s Manager tells WFMY News 2 that customers north of Biscoe into Star and the Steed area will be without water for up to five hours on Saturday.
Woodard said after a water main broke Friday, the county drained water towers in Biscoe and Star to repair the line. He said after that line was repaired, a main broke on Saturday when crews pressurized the line.
He said that meant shutting off water service to that line which runs from Biscoe to Star. Woodard said all affected customers should receive a message from an automatic answering service notifying them of the problem.
Another automated message call will go out once the line is repaired, Woodard said. That call will direct affected water customers to boil their water before using it.
