Deputies Arrest 72 Year-Old Man For Narcotics

Davidson County, NC -- Sheriff's Deputies arrested a 72 year-old man for posession and trafficking narcotics on Wednesday.

Authorities said and undercover detective visited Joseph Housand's home in Thomasville on May 8, where he bought Hydrocodone pills. When Housand was arrested, he also had 13 clonazepam pills.

Housand is being charged with Trafficking Opiates (two counts), sell a schedule III controlled substance, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Housand was placed in the Davidson County Jail under a $11,000 secured bond and has a court date of July 31 and August 28, 2012 in Davidson County District Court.
