(Thomasville, NC) -- Yesterday afternoon, Thomasville Police responded to Members Credit Union at 100 Lines Street in reference to an armed robbery.
A black male described as being 20-30 years of age, 5'7"-6', 140-180 lbs., bald head, wearing a blue t-shirt, blue jean shorts, and a blue bandana covering his face, entered the bank brandishing a gun and demanded money.
The suspect exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and got into a car that was waiting for him. The driver is described as a bald black male. An off-duty Greensboro Police Officer who had just arrived at the bank was able to provide police with a vehicle description and license tag number. Police located the vehicle abandoned a few blocks away from the bank.
Detectives are following up leads and the investigation is continuing.
