(Lexington, NC) -- On Thursday, August 16, 2012, a Warrant Squad Unit of the Davidson County Sheriff's Office was attempting to serve a warrant for outstanding child support on Johnny Jay Galloway at his residence located on Tom Livengood Road.
Galloway was apprehended and placed in the deputies car without incident. At some point, Galloway was able to unbuckle his seat belt and attempted to exit the vehicle. A struggle ensued whereby the arresting deputy was kicked in the face.
The deputy was able to regain control as other Units arrived to assist. EMS was dispatched and checked the deputy's injuries which were minor.
Galloway was subsequently transported to the Magistrate in Lexington where he received a $50,000.00 Secured Bond before being placed in the Davidson County Jail.
