(King, NC) -- King Police Officers responded to a call of an armed robbery at approximately 8:36 PM at Bojangles on South Main Street.
When police arrived, an employee told them that a dark-skinned black male, described as being medium height, with a medium build, bald, in his early 30's, possibly with a mustache, wearing black t-shirt and black denim jeans (with also possibly a white hat and/or white t-shirt), wearing black gloves and driving a gray medium-sized car, attempted to rob the cashier at the drive-thru window, armed with a knife.
The cashier stated that the robber grabbed her by her arm, lunged through the window, and reached for the cash in the register, demanding all the money.
A brief struggle reportedly ensued, and the cashier was able to get away, during which time the suspect dropped the knife he was holding, and then left in a gray car.
The cashier received slight injuries from the struggle.
