Greensboro--If you have outdoor plans this Labor Day weekend, have a backup plan just in case a shower moves your way.
The remains of Isaac are spreading eastward through the Ohio Valley. Some of that moisture will spill into the Piedmont. This will increase our chance of showers and thunderstorms to a 50% chance on Sunday and a 40% chance on Monday.
This will not be a widespread, all day rain event. The showers and thunderstorms will be mainly in the afternoon and evening hours. Because there will be so much deep, tropical moisture, some showers may produce heavy rainfall.
The high temperature today will be around 90, Extra clouds will cause temperatures to cool back to 87 on Sunday and 85 on Labor Day.
Our normal high temperatures for this time of year is 84, and our normal low is 66.
