GREENSBORO, NC -The homicide victim found on Randolph Street on May 25th has been identified as 33-year-old Paula Joy Nicks from Brown Summit, NC.
Family members identified Nicks after seeing images of her publicized in the media and contacted police earlier in the month. Nicks, who frequently had extended absences from her family, was not reported missing.
Greensboro police confirmed that the deceased woman was Nicks after manually matching her fingerprints with those on file with a Virginia police department.
Police from several jurisdictions canvassed the Randolph Avenue area on May 31st in the hopes of gaining information that could help identify the person or persons responsible for her death; and, the investigation is still on-going.
