Greensboro--Fall arrived yesterday when the high temperature reached 84 at PTIA. It did not feel much like Autumn. Well, Mother Nature is back on track and sending the Piedmont some of the coolest air so far this season.
Cool high pressure has moved south out of Canada. The system is sending chilly, dry air all across the East Coast of the U.S. It will keep temperatures below normal through Wednesday.
As the high pressure system move off the East Coast by Wednesday, temperatures will moderate back to near 80.
In the meantime, below normal temperatures means we will have a high of 74 today, but only around 70 on Monday. Overnight low temperatures tonight and Monday night will be in the chilly mid and upper 40's.
Our normal high temperatures this time of year is 78, and our normal low is 58.
