Graham, NC -- The Alamance County Sheriff's Office isn't giving up the fight against the Department of Justice and its racial profiling report.

The Alamance County attorney and Sheriff Terry Johnson's personal attorney will write responses to the DOJ following accusations of racial profiling among Sheriff Johnson and his deputies, according to the Sheriff's Office.

This announcement comes a week after the DOJ found cases of racial profiling, including claims that ACSO deputies targeted Latino drivers for traffic stops and that they routinely locate checkpoints just outside Latino neighborhoods.

Earlier Monday, talks of a possible lawsuit between the Sheriff's Office and the DOJ surfaced.

Attorneys say the responses will come out this week.
