Greensboro, NC - With only a few weeks left until the election, many voters have already picked a side. But what shapes those ideas?
David Olson, Political Science professor at the University of North Carolina Greensboro said, "Particular issues can lead persons over time to consider themselves as being more affiliated or feel more comfortable with the idea of one party or the other."
Where a person grew up, religious beliefs, or personal experiences also all play a factor into what political party a voter might choose.
Olson said, "Everybody has their own particular story to tell, so its a wide range of possibilities."
