Winston-Salem, NC -- Wednesday afternoon, Police in Winston-Salem said a search for a man who went missing ended with unhappy results.
Curtis Porter was living in a group home and was reported missing on September 22. Since that time, Police and family members have been searching. A Silver Alert was issued several times. On October 10, Highway Patrol used its helicopter to search for Porter but came up empty.
Police, volunteer search crews which included family members of Porter were notified around 1:45pm that Porter's body was found behind a church.
Porter was last seen walking away from his group home on Old Greensboro Rd. Police say they'll focus the search to the area around the group home.
