Greensboro Police Hosting Barbecue Fundraiser for Special Olympics

Greensboro, NC-- No need to bring lunch to work Thursday or cook dinner. You can get a hot barbecue plate and help Special Olympics in one bite.

Thursday, Nov. 1 the Greensboro Police Club hosts its Annual Fall Barbecue to raise funds for the Special Olympics, youth athletic scholarships and uniforms, and police memorials.

The Greensboro Police Club, a private civic club, has been sponsoring this fund-raising event every year since its establishment in 1927.

Where can you get some BBQ?

From 11am-7pm at the Police Club facility: at 524 Air Harbor Road, offers dine-in and take-out meals.

Take out meals only:
From 11am-4pm at War Memorial Stadium,
510 Yanceyville Street.

Meals cost $7 each and can be paid for by cash or check.

What's on your plate? Dine-in meals consist of: pork barbeque, coleslaw, baked beans, and a drink.
Take-out meals: 12 ounces of barbeque and coleslaw.

All items are prepared and served by Greensboro police department employees and retirees.
