Greensboro -- With the amount of unemployment in North Carolina and the number of vacant store fronts, any jobs and openings are good news.
A Roses department store is moving into the former Winn-Dixie location off East Cone Boulevard and Summit Avenue.
The store front has been vacant for years and when Winn-Dixie left, a lot of neighboring stores couldn't survive.
Roses will provide 17 jobs.
Tomorrow, Greensboro City Countil will vote on a loan to be used to up-fit the store and redo the parking lot.
If it's approved, Roses will start moving in the location immediately.
