Greensboro, NC -- A 24-year-old Greensboro woman was shot during an attempted robbery by a male acquaintance late Tuesday night.
Police were called to Wesley Long Hospital for an assault around 11:45 pm. The Woman told the responding officers she was at the Comfort Inn on Lanada Rd. with the man when he attempted to rob her.
There was a struggle between the two people and that's when the woman received a single gunshot wound. Police said she was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle and was treated for a non-life threatening injury.
The assault suspect was described as a dark-complexioned black male with short dreadlocks. He is about 5'11" to 6' tall, skinny build and is approximately 24- to 26-years-old.
