Greenville, SC-- A man is charged with Driving Under the Influence in a head-on collision that happened on Interstate 385 in Greenville Monday morning.
Investigators confirm to WSPA that the accident happened just before 3:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes near Pleansantburg Drive when a pick-up truck driven by Andrew Joseph Glasier, 26, of Greer was traveling the wrong way and hit a car, killing the driver.
The victim was later identified as Shauntia Jackson, 27, of Greenville. She died at the scene. Her three children ages 3, 6, and 9, were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Glasier was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. According to an arrest warrant obtain by the station, Glasier is charged with Felony Driving Under the Influence Resulting in Death. He remains in the hospital.
According to the Greenville County Coroner's Office Jackson's husband, Delmar Jackson, Sr., saw the crash happen.
He was driving in a separate vehicle in front of Shauntia and their children, according to investigators. The family was returning from a trip to Charlotte.
